Post-graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
Allows graduates of eligible Canadian institutions to work for any employer in Canada, excluding certain restricted occupations; Completed a program of study at a designated learning institution in Canada. Program was at least eight months long; Meet all other PGWP eligibility criteria.
Open Work Permit
Allows individuals to work for any employer in Canada; Eligibility criteria vary based on the specific regular open work permit program, such as spouses or common-law partners of certain work or study permit holders, applicants under the International Experience Canada (IEC) program.
Bridge Open Work Permit
For applicants under specific immigration streams transitioning to permanent residence. Typically submitted within Canada.
Employer-Specific Work Permit
Allows individuals to work for a specific employer in Canada (LMIA or LMIA-exempt)
